We’re saying goodbye to our intern Mike today, so here’s a message from Bill thanking him for his work. -Asad Haider
Just a quick shout-out to Michael Shronk, who has been a huge help as our summer intern. Mike is studying fine arts with a concentration in photography at Towson University, where he’ll soon be headed back to start his senior year.
Steering clear of all the legal pitfalls an employer can face, we at Wonderful Machine strive to provide our interns with with a wide variety of experiences. Mike got a taste of photo editing, marketing and production, and he even helped out on a few shoots.
We considered, like a certain famous photographer, asking Mike to tickle our feet. But after much discussion, we agreed that the US Department of Labor was unlikely to judge this to be “educational in nature” and “primarily [of] benefit to the intern,” as the law requires, and decided that it would be necessary to select a paid staff member for the feet-tickling position.
Mike’s enthusiasm and hard work will be missed in the Wonderful Machine office, and we wish him luck as he pursues his photography career! You can see some of his photography at www.michaelshronk.com.

Michael,
Your images are stellar! You’ll do well. And for the record, I would have tickled the models feet…just to be able to say that I did. Talk about a great topic at cocktail parties.
Enjoy the ride and thanks for being part of WM.
