Our New York-based photographer Dennis Yermoshin spent some serious time at his hometown Comic Con.
The New York Comic Con is not affiliated with the original, the not-for-profit event in San Diego. Nevertheless, it draws the major historical figures of the industry—Stan Lee, the brain behind Marvel comics, was in attendance. And New York, after all, is the birthplace of comics, with 40 comic stores in the city.
Of equal, or perhaps greater interest are the legions of devoted fans, who descend upon the convention, often in costume, in a collective celebration of the dreamworlds of comics.
