Since we function as a web portal, where clients can contact photographers directly, we won’t know about every assignment we generate for our members. But we do frequently hear back from clients and photographers about the positive impact we’re having. Here are a few recent successes:

  • Smart Money hired Felipe Dupouy/Chile for a portrait shoot in Santiago.

  • New York Times Magazine hired Bill Cramer/Philadelphia.
  • “I’ve used your website to find photographers and appreciate that you have “quality control” by limiting the number of photographers in each city.” – Photo Editor/Cigar Aficionado
  • “A week after arriving back in Bangkok from a month shooting in the Maldives, I picked up my first job with Wonderful Machine. While I can’t show any outtakes or discuss who the client was, I can tell you that it was part of a global campaign and I was just one of many photographers assigned to it.   • Men’s Fitness hired Jason Hornick/Washington DC.

  • We got Roy Ritchie/Detroit in front of BBDO/Detroit’s creatives, who hired him for a Dodge campaign. Dodge has turned into a repeat client for Roy.
  • Price Waterhouse Coopers called looking for recommendations. They hired Scott Goldsmith/Pittsburgh to shoot the assignment.
  • Martha Stewart Omnimedia hired Greg Vore/New York for a still-life project after seeing our press release about him in PDN.
  • Austin Hargrave/Los Angeles was hired to shoot a feature for a Mountain Bike Magazine.
  • “I think (Wonderful Machine) is an amazing marketing tool.” – Adam Voorhes/Austin
  • During one of our routine marketing calls, a photo editor at Stern mentioned that she needed a photographer in Colorado. We sent her URLs to a number of Colorado photographers’ websites, and she hired Don Cudney/Denver for the job.
  • Hill Holliday licensed an image from Jensen Walker/Japan after he replied to one of our stock requests.
  • Fallon/Minneapolis contacted us to provide samples of our photographers’ work to consider for a worldwide campaign for Purina.
  • Marc Morrison/Houston passed an overflow job along to Todd Winters/Chicago because “he wanted to keep it in the WM family”.
  • Jess successfully negotiated and won a large American Airlines ad campaign for Matthew Furman. Jess was the on-set producer in Europe and in the US for the project.
  • Southern Living and Family Circle hired Alan Matthews/Birmingham.

  • Mothering magazine licensed two images from Robert Houser/San Francisco after Robert replied to one of our stock requests.
  • Doner/LA asked us to provide several of our automotive photographers’ portfolios for a Mazda campaign.
  • Time Magazine hired Ian Londin/Cincinnati to shoot a portrait of the president of the University of Kentucky.
  • Research Magazine hired Nathan Harmon/Tulsa.

  • Barkley US hired Andy Delisle/Phoenix for a 24hour Fitness Campaign at our recommendation.
  • Cigar Aficionado and Market Watch Magazine hired Shannon O’Hara/Houston.
  • Angeleno contacted us looking for recommendations for a gastropub piece in Ireland. They hired Mike O’Toole/Ireland.
  • Cleveland Clinic Magazine hired Simon Bruty/Washington DC for a cover shoot, after just one day on our site.
  • ESPN Magazine found Bryan Regan/Raleigh through WM.
