www.danielrootphotography.com

Began his schooling at Oregon State’s Forestry program. Quickly transferred to journalism.
Hardly ever in a studio, Daniel prefers working on location. Has traveled to pretty much every
continent in his 20-year career. Enjoys fly-fishing on Oregon’s scenic rivers in his free time.

Dero Sanford / Little Rock

4th generation of the name "Dero." After his father passed away, he was adopted into a family that
now consists of 15 children. Lived in Kenya for 6 months working for a non-profit (got to eat goat).
Trying to climb all the big mountains in Colorado. He’s already conquered Kilimanjaro in Africa.

Don Cudney / Denver

Former career: professional skateboarder. Originally from CO, moved to Florida with his family.
Spent 25 years of his life sleeping, fishing, surfing and skating across the southeast United States.
Two college degrees and thousands of miles later, Don now runs his studio based out of Denver.

Tom Hoops / Thailand

www.tomhoops.com

Originally from the south coast of England. Began his career as a creative director and designer in both the UK and Asia. First use of camera: photographed interesting faces, which he used in his paintings. Now in his 30′s, Tom doesn’t mind traveling across the world for his photo assignments.

Architectural Photography!

Monday September 21st, 2009

Trent Bell / Boston
Architecture / Home & Garden / Landscape / Conceptual
www.trentbell.com

Background: spent several years in the Marshall Islands teaching just about every subject to
high school students. Later received masters in architecture, moved to Maine, and started a
practice with a friend. Sold his half of the business to begin his architectural photography career.

Marc Gerritsen / Taiwan
Architecture / Home & Garden
www.marcgerritsen.com

Recent project: "Taiwan Mod", which he calls "A 600 page journey through Taiwanese design."
Lives in the capital, Taipei. Has background in design and art. If you have a minute, you may
enjoy checking out what he produced with only his iPhone and his imagination. It’s on his website.

Jeffrey Totaro / Philadelphia
Architecture / Home & Garden
www.jeffreytotaro.com

Jeff has a life-long interest in design and construction. Prior to becoming a photographer,
he worked as an architect and structural engineer at a prominent Philadelphia firm. For the past
14 years, he’s shot for the leading firms in the Northeast. Not bad for a "self-taught" photographer.

John Abernathy / Minneapolis
Architecture / Home & Garden / Food & Drink
www.abernathyphoto.com

John was born and raised in St. Louis Park, MN (a suburb of Minneapolis). Had a brief
interlude in California, where he refined his photography skills. He has two kids. His daughter
is a natural-born stylist, at 9 years old, and apparently his son is good at breaking things.
