Studied design before switching his major. Won "best portfolio" upon graduation. Aside from his photography pursuits, he also co-owns and operates an espresso catering business. Spends a lot of time with his wife and daughter. We featured his break dancing bunny on our blog recently.

Won't pass up karaoke (usually 80's hair bands). Lived two blocks away from Lambeau Field as a kid, but he ironically didn't like football. He now, however, enjoys Saturday afternoon Chicago Cubs games with his wife and friends. Big fan of being a dad. Loves to play guitar (poorly he says).

Took a photo class in high school, got a C. Now his work is featured in this year's PDN Photo Annual. Doesn't own a car, usually bikes everywhere (even to shoots). Once took a Greyhound bus from San Francisco to NYC (sounds terrible, but he loved it). Iron Maiden fan and daydreamer.

Grew up in a seaside suburb of Toyko. Fell in love with photography while working in the darkroom in high school. Got his masters in studio art from NYU. Loves being surrounded by nature. Surfs the Japanese coast year round.

Growing up, he spent his free time at the family's peanut farm in Virginia. Does his best to live a life of simplicity & balance. Has been interested in "built" environments since he was small. Enjoys mountain biking and tinkering with his grandfather's '49 Ford pickup.

Chased by a shark once, but got away. Enjoys hanging out in unremarkable bars with her friends and walking her dog, usually uphill. She's learning French and would love to spend more time in Paris as a local than as a tourist (would happily live on a bench in Saint-Germain, she's not fussy).
