Born in New Delhi, grew up in Wisconsin (while dad got his PhD). Moved back to India in his teens. Was offered full scholarship to film school at UCLA, but couldn't afford the plane ticket–went to a local college for math instead. Taught himself photography after spending his savings on equipment.

Hails from British Columbia. Former job: worked for three years in the reforestation industry planting trees (a difficult and rewarding experience). Got married a couple weeks ago and now they've been renovating their house (his wife's a carpenter). Just got back from a shoot in Peru.

Native of Chicago, now resides in a small city between Seattle and Vancouver. Doesn't worry about the technical side of photography–works from his instincts and emotions. Spare time spent hiking and skiing. Photographed the Canadian Rockies and Glacier National Park recently.

According to David, his life can be broken down by numbers. He's been shooting architecture for over 25 years. Owns 28 cameras and usually brings 22 lights on every shoot. Once climbed a 18,510 ft. mountain. His mudroom holds 16 pairs of skies. Has 3 kids running around the house.
