Originally from Liverpool. Named after the first person to set foot on the moon, Neil Armstrong. Helped Alberto Korda, the photographer who shot the famous picture of Che, receive money from an ad agency who used his image illegally. Passionate football (soccer) player. Has two boys.

Started taking pictures as a kid after moving into a house with a darkroom. Expert in the history of photogravure and a leading figure in the world of fine art photography collecting. Met his wife of 23 years through a cold call from the yellow pages. Can still hold his own in a game of beer pong.

Grew up around the Adirondack mountains and took part in a lot of outdoor activities. Has two master's degrees: physical therapy and business. Enjoys hanging out with his wife and three kids and doing endurance sports in his free time. Recently relocated to the DC area from Minneapolis.

Mid-twenties spent poking around street corners in Europe. Decided to go to school for journalism and earth sciences; photography became his tool for storytelling. Speaks three languages: Italian, Spanish, and English. Just got back from hiking the Sierra Nevada (his blisters are almost gone).
