Started shooting out of Hollywood back in the day, but now calls Minneapolis home. Loves working with animals and kids. Up for adventure, too; shot a meteorological team chasing severe storms across TX last year. Also a former National Cycling member who used to compete in races.

Worked as an interior designer in Germany before moving to New York. Assisted for awhile before doing his own thing. His first book, When Janey Comes Marching Home: Portraits of Women Combat Veterans, was just published in the spring. Work appeared in American Photography 25.

His project American Craftsman documents the hard work of companies still making handmade products across America (dedicated the project to his father, also a craftsman). Spare time spent tearing up (renovating) his house, watching The History Channel, and playing with his kids.

Originally from Australia. Say he's anti-establishment and probably too opinionated. Used to work at an engineering firm. Moved to NYC to start assisting Greg Heisler (known for his Time covers). Spare time spent surfing and helping out kid's groups. Lives with his wife and two teen boys.

Birmingham born and bred, Rob loves being able to call it home (and eat the great food). Sort of fell into photography—fate, he thinks. When he does have a spare moment, he's a dedicated but average skilled ultimate frisbee player (also an average fly fisherman). Travels when he can.
